Smoked Chicken Breast

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 1 Tbs garlic powder
- 1 Tbs onion powder
- 1 Tbs black pepper
- 1 tsp lemon zest
Procedure
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl
- Take chicken breast in a dish and rinse the meat under tap water.
- Pour all the spices and maple syrup on the chicken
- Massage it with the rub and let it stand for an hour. Make sure you rub all the areas of the chicken with spices as it will add flavor to the chicken
- Use wood of your choice and set up your smoker for 225 F
- Place the chicken on the smoker racks. Smoke it for 1 hour at 225 F
- Take the rack out after an hour of smoking and place cubes of butter on the chicken
- Cover and cook for another 1/2 hour at 225 F
- Dip it in a mixture of apple juice and bbq sauce
- Again smoke for another 1/2 an hour at 225 F
- Drizzle it with warm honey to enhance the taste
- Let it rest for 20 minutes before serving
